About the Youth Scholarship Fund
The Youth Scholarship Fund helps ensure that cost never stands in the way of a child’s opportunity to learn, grow, and participate in park district programs. This support allows young residents to access sports, summer camp, and recreation programs that enrich their lives through recreation, education, and preservation.
Every donation goes directly toward program fees for qualifying youth, creating real access for families who need it most. These scholarships open the door to experiences that help kids feel included, supported, and ready to take on new challenges.

How to Apply
Steps to Apply
- Review information packet regarding the 2026 Youth Summer Camp Scholarship Program
- Complete and sign 2026 Youth Summer Camp Scholarship Application
- Write one-page explanation of any special personal circumstances and/or explanation of your current situation surrounding the need for financial assistance
- Complete and submit all required BTPD 2026 Youth Summer Camp registration forms/procedures and registration fees. Please visit our website or come to one of our facilities to complete summer camp registration process. If scholarship is awarded to you, your household account will be discounted or refunded based on awarded amount
Scholarship Award Criteria
- Availability of Foundation funds
- Demonstration of financial need
- Special personal circumstances
- No outstanding balance of any other BTPD programs
